Special Liability Coverage Features
- Personal injury liability: Includes infringement of copyright, oral or written publication of material that slanders or libels a person or entity, and personal injury resulting from electronic data transmissions (such as e-mail) and from the posting of information on an electronic communication network (such as the Internet).
- Specialized emotional injury liability: Based on your operation and activities, includes: membership emotional injury (churches), nursery supervision emotional injury, student emotional injury (school/day care), camper emotional injury (camps), ordination/placement emotional injury (association/denomination offices).
- Food preparation liability: Liability protection and legal
defense for claims resulting from consumption of food you prepare or
distribute.
- Teacher/Governing board liability (including corporal punishment): Liability protection and legal defense for claims arising from covered teaching or leadership activities (school/day care coverage).
- Ordination/Placement liability: Liability protection and legal
defense for claims arising out of the ordination, licensing, placement
or transfer of clergy (association/denomination offices).
Liability Protection Options

- Sexual acts liability: Liability protection and legal defense for covered damages, including emotional injury, resulting from sexual acts. An outside counseling reimbursement benefit is also included.
- Counseling acts liability: Liability protection and legal defense for covered damages, including emotional injury, resulting from counseling acts performed by pastoral or lay counselors or lay advisors. An outside counseling reimbursement benefit is also included. Coverage for incidental personal financial counseling is also provided.
- School counseling liability: Liability protection and legal defense for covered damages, including emotional injury, resulting from school counseling activities. An outside counseling reimbursement benefit is also included.
- Religious CommunicationSM and Religious ActivitySM liability: Through this copyrighted optional endorsement, you can cover your organization or a covered person for emotional injury claims arising outof the communication of religiously-affiliated information, or activities associated with the religious beliefs of your church, your religious communication or religious activities.
- Discriminatory acts liability: Liability protection and legal defense for covered emotional injury claims arising out of discriminatory acts against individuals other than your employees or job applicants.
- Directors and officers liability: Liability protection and legal defense for covered financial damages claims that result from covered leadership decisions made on behalf of your organization.
- Employment practices liability: Liability protection and legal defense for covered damage,including emotional injury sustained by a past or present employee or job applicant due to employment discrimination, termination, harassment, or other wrongful employment acts or practices.
- Computer-related liability: Liability protection and legal defense for covered damages arising out of computer use, such as inadvertant transmission of computer viruses or the release of personal information stored electronically, electronic fund transfer (EFT) errors, and failure to supervise Internet use.
- Special defense reimbursement: Legal expense reimbursement relating to several specified types of civil proceedings and criminal investigations not typically covered in standard liability policies.
- Wage loss reimbursement: Specified benefit for reasonable and necessary covered wage loss incurred by a person who sustains bodily injury on premises you own or rent, or arising out of your sponsored activities. Benefit applies regardless of legal liability.
- Nonowned vehicle coverage: Liability protection and legal defense for covered damages resulting from the use of borrowed or short-term rented automobiles or maintenance equipment (on an excess basis). Also, can include, rental reimbursement physical damage coverage for rented vehicles, up to $45,000, plus other benefits. Liability protection is subject to the terms, limits, and conditions of each coverage form, we pay all sums that you become legally obligated to pay as damages due to covered loss sustained by others.
