Mark A. Robison, CPA, CPCU
Chairman and President

Mark A. Robison Mark Robison joined Brotherhood Mutual in 1994 as assistant vice president finance and was promoted to vice president of finance in 1997. He was named vice president and treasurer in 1998. In 2006 he was named senior vice president and treasurer, in April 2007, president and treasurer, and in February 2008, he became president and CEO. In 2009, he was named Chairman and President. Before coming to Brotherhood Mutual, he worked for seven years at Ernst & Young LLP as manager of auditing.

Robison holds a degree in accounting from Manchester College and earned his Certified Public Accountant's (CPA) license in 1989 from the Indiana State Board of Public Accountancy. In 1990, he received his Fellow Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation from the Life Office Management Association, Inc., and his CPCU in 1997.

Robison serves on the board of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association and is a member of Heartland Community Church.

Michael J. Allison, JD, CPCU
Vice President, Chief Counsel and Secretary

Michael J. Allison Michael Allison joined Brotherhood Mutual in 1989 as a litigation specialist. He was promoted to casualty claims manager, then assistant vice president–casualty claims. He was appointed vice president and chief counsel in 1997, assuming leadership of the legal and research and development departments. In 1998 he became corporate secretary.

Allison lends his time to the Fort Wayne Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic and to the Anthony Wayne Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He also serves on the board of the Insurance Institute of Indiana. A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in psychology and communications, he received his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law and received his CPCU designation in 1993. Allison attends Pathway Community Church, where he serves on the greeter team and is active in the adoption ministry.

Scott A. Figgins, CPCU
Vice President–Underwriting and Claims

Scott A. Figgins Scott Figgins joined Brotherhood Mutual in 1989 as a claims adjuster. He was promoted to claims supervisor in 1995 and vice president of claims in 1997. He assumed his current responsibilities in January 2009.

Figgins earned a master's degree in business administration from Taylor University in 2007 and serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Taylor University MBA program. He also holds an associate's degree in criminal justice and a bachelor's degree in public administration from Indiana University.

He received his paralegal certification in 1989 and his CPCU in 1993. Figgins serves on the Indiana Insurance Institute Claims Committee, the advisory board of Internet Christian radio station Remedy.fm, and is an active member of Fellowship Missionary Church.

Matthew G. Hirschy, CPA
Vice President-Finance and Treasurer

Matt Hirschy joined Brotherhood Mutual in 2008 as Vice President-Finance and in 2009 was named Treasurer.

Before coming to Brotherhood Mutual, Hirschy spent four years as the chief financial officer at a Fort Wayne, Ind., biomedical firm. He also served during the previous 15 years in accounting and auditing positions at two well-known national and local accounting firms.

Hirschy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Manchester College and earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in 1989. He has served as treasurer of A Hope Center and Pathway Community Church, where he and his family currently attend.

Daryl G. Pannabecker, CPCU
Vice President–Information Systems

Daryl G. PannabeckerDaryl Pannabecker joined Brotherhood Mutual in 1985 as a programmer. He was promoted to programmer analyst in 1988, to senior programmer analyst in 1993, and to assistant vice president information systems in 1995. He became vice president of information systems in 1996.

Pannabecker is a graduate of Bethel College with a degree in computer science and earned his CPCU designation in 1995. He currently serves on the board of trustees for Bethel College and has served on the board of A Hope Center. He and his family attend Grabill Missionary Church.

Kathleen J. Turpin, JD, CPCU, AIM
Vice President–Human Resources

Kathleen J. Turpin Kathleen Turpin joined Brotherhood Mutual in 1996 as a litigation specialist in the claims department. She became associate corporate counsel in 1998 and assumed her current position in November 2003.

She holds a degree in speech and psychology from Greenville College, Greenville, Illinois, and earned her law degree at the University of Indiana School of Law. In 1999, she received designations as an Associate in Management and a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter. She is a member of the Christian Legal Society, Indiana Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel, Society of Human Resources, and Northern Indiana Human Resources Association.

Turpin attends Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, where she serves on the day care center board and is a past youth leader and church board member. She also coaches Upward soccer in the community.

Hugh W. White, M.Div., CPCU
Vice President–Sales & Marketing

Hugh W. WhiteHugh White joined Brotherhood Mutual in 1986 as assistant vice president–agency and was promoted to vice president–marketing in 1998. Before coming to Brotherhood Mutual, he spent 13 years in casualty underwriting, agency sales, and sales office management.

White holds a degree in business administration, with a major in insurance, from Penn State University. He graduated with honors from Grace Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. White received his CPCU designation in 1997. He serves on the boards of Truth@Work, World Ventures, and Fort Wayne Rescue Ministries. He and his family attend Pathway Community Church.

Daniel B. Book, CIC, AIC
Assistant Vice President–Sales

Daniel B. Book
Dan Book joined Brotherhood Mutual in 1989 as a property claims adjuster. He was promoted to senior property claims adjuster in 1997 before briefly leaving the company in 1999 to become director of community life at Avalon Missionary Church in Fort Wayne. Book rejoined the company in 2000 as senior manager–sales and was promoted to his current position in 2007.

Book graduated from Taylor University with a degree in communications. He received a Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2005 and an Associate in Claim designation in 1992. He attends Pathway Community Church, where he serves as an elder.

Larry Jackson, FSA, MAAA
Chief Actuary

Larry Jackson joined Brotherhood Mutual in 2008 as Chief Actuary.

Before coming to Brotherhood Mutual, Jackson spent four years as the Director of Underwriting at a Fort Wayne, Ind., reinsurance firm. He served for the previous 17 years in various actuarial positions at one of the nation's largest life insurance and financial services companies.

Jackson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Huntington University in Huntington, Ind., and a Master of Arts degree in Actuarial Science from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. Jackson is a member of Brookside Church, where he is heavily involved in the children's ministry.

Dave Lantz, CPCU, AIC
Assistant Vice President–Casualty Claims

Dave Lantz joined Brotherhood Mutual in 1996 as a casualty claims adjuster. He was named manager–casualty claims in 1998 and senior manager–casualty claims in 2007. Lantz was named to his current position in 2008.

Lantz holds a degree in criminal justice from Anderson University. He received his Associate in Claims designation in 1998 and became a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter in 2004. Lantz attends Crossbridge Community Church, where he is involved with the youth group and children's ministry.

Mitzi L. Thomas, ABC
Assistant Vice President, Marketing and Communications

Mitzi L. Thomas Mitzi Thomas joined Brotherhood Mutual as a communications assistant in 1995, was promoted to manager–marketing communications in 1998, and to assistant vice president of corporate communications in 2000. She was promoted to her current position in 2009.

She holds an English degree from Taylor University and is accredited through the International Association of Business Communicators. She attends Wallen Baptist Church.
