Each Shoebox Goes a Long Way

With the help of Brotherhood Mutual employees, 228 shoeboxes filled with gifts will soon be making their way to children in need.

Brotherhood Mutual was proud to participate in Operation Christmas Child (OCC) this season by encouraging employees to fill a shoebox (or two!) to send to a child in need. The company paid for the shipping costs for each box, which individual employees filled with dolls, crayons, toy cars, and other toys or personal care items.

Brotherhood Mutual Announces Plans for Expansion
Fort Wayne, Ind., Sept. 21, 2009—Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company is expanding its corporate office in Fort Wayne. The insurer of churches and related ministries will invest more than $5.2 million on a building expansion project that will add 26,000 square feet to its existing building, located off Ludwig Road on the city’s north side. The expansion will increase capacity for a customer service center that serves growing markets in the western United States.

Fort Wayne, Ind., Aug. 6, 2009—On the heels of being named one of the top places to work in Indiana earlier this spring, Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company was recently named to Ward’s 50 Top Performing Insurance Companies list for 2009.

Indianapolis, IND., May 5, 2009—The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has named Brotherhood Mutual the state's 10th best place to work in 2009. The company is among 70 firms, including four in the Fort Wayne area, recognized for their positive work environments.

Brotherhood Mutual Announces Leadership Changes
Fort Wayne, Ind., March 6, 2009—Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company’s Board of Directors approved several changes when it met in February. Mark Robison, president and CEO of Brotherhood Mutual, was named Chairman of the Board. James Blum, who retired from his role as company president in 2007, stepped down as Chairman of the Board, but remains an active member.
