Brotherhood Mutual Welcomes Matthew Hirschy
as Vice President–Finance
Fort Wayne, Ind., August 22, 2008—Matthew G. Hirschy, CPA, has joined Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company as Vice President–Finance.
In this position, Hirschy leads the overall operation of Brotherhood Mutual’s finance department, including the company’s financial and tax reporting, external audit of the company’s financial records, and investment activities. He also administers Brotherhood Mutual’s reinsurance program and is responsible for protection and maintenance of the company’s capital assets.
Before coming to Brotherhood Mutual, Hirschy spent four years as the chief financial officer of Schwartz Biomedical, LLC, in Fort Wayne, twelve years at Krouse, Kern & Co., Inc., a Fort Wayne CPA firm, where he was Director of Accounting and Auditing, and three years at the national accounting firm Ernst & Young, LLP.
Hirschy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Manchester College in North Manchester, Ind. He received his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1989.
