Brotherhood Mutual Recognized for Financial Stability
Company Makes Ward's Top 50 List Second Year in a Row
Fort Wayne, Ind., July 13, 2010—For the second year in a row, Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company has been named one of the nation’s top performing property and casualty insurance companies.
Each year, Ward Group analyzes the financial performance of every insurance company based in the United States. This year, it looked at more than 3,000 property-casualty and 800 life-health insurance companies.
The consulting firm, which provides benchmarking services to the insurance industry, determines the top 50 performers in each field, based on their financial performance over five years.
Each business that becomes one of Ward’s 50 Top Performing Insurance Companies must pass safety and consistency screens and achieve superior performance over the five years analyzed. Afterward, Ward’s Group compares the companies’ performance with the rest of the insurance industry. Generally, the Top 50 outperform the industry in key measures of performance.
"I’m very pleased to hear we were again named to the Ward’s 50 list,” says Mark Robison, company chairman and president. “Knowing that a company must have steady solid underwriting results over a long period of time makes the recognition even more pleasing.”
