Steve Case

Assistant Vice President, General Counsel Affiliates

Steve Case joined the company as an associate attorney in 2014 and was elevated to associate corporate counsel in 2016 and then assistant vice president, senior corporate counsel in 2017. In 2022 he assumed his current role where he provides strategic leadership, oversight, and management of the legal and compliance functions of Brotherhood Mutual’s affiliate and subsidiary entities.

"My church has a motto: To grow larger, we have to become smaller. That is, we have to focus on building relationships and remaining relevant with every individual who attends. Brotherhood Mutual embodies this same vision by remaining focused on building meaningful relationships with the ministries we serve, even as we experience tremendous growth. I thoroughly enjoy meeting with and speaking to ministry leaders about the issues that matter to them."

After receiving his bachelor's degree from Manchester University, Steve received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2010 and received his CPCU designation in 2017. Prior to joining Brotherhood Mutual, he worked in insurance defense litigation. Steve is a member of the Christian Legal Society, Defense Research Institute, Association of Corporate Counsel, and Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. Steve attends The Pointe Church in Fort Wayne, where he previously served as the Grow Group director and now serves on the ministry advisory board.
