Online Training
Train your ministry’s employees and volunteers in recommended safety practices.
Safety Training (for customers only)
Whether it’s your office assistant, your nursery volunteers, your Sunday School teachers, or your facility maintenance professional, there’s something for each person who plays a role in your ministry with Brotherhood Mutual Online Training. Courses cover many topics, including health and wellness, driver safety, workplace safety, and more - all designed to help keep your people and property safe.
Training is free for Brotherhood Mutual customers. You'll need your ministry's policy number to register for an admin account. Once registered, you'll be able to assign courses to employees.
Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (for customers and non-customers)
This sexual harassment prevention training is provided by Brotherhood Mutual at no cost to your ministry. There is a version designed for employees in California and a version for employees in other states. You are encouraged to refer to your state’s specific harassment prevention web page or your local attorney for guidance as to the training requirements of your state.
Additionally, your state’s harassment prevention web page may outline the timing and frequency of harassment prevention training. For example, some states require training to be provided shortly after hire and once every two years, but your state may vary. We encourage you to speak with a locally licensed attorney if you have specific questions about what your state requires.
Before Ministry Employees Take the Training
Make sure to plan enough time to complete this training – one hour for employees and two hours for supervisors. At the completion of the training, participants will get a certificate of completion that should be saved to their computers as well as printed, signed, and submitted to their manager. Employers may need to retain a copy for proof of completion.
Employer Requirements
Check with your state’s sexual harassment prevention training requirements to make sure you are complying with your state laws and are providing this training as often as required.
As an employer, your ministry may be required to retain a record of training completion for each employee.
Saving the Certificate of Completion
At the completion of the training, there will be a final quiz, followed by a glossary. Click 'next' until you reach the certificate of completion. Right-click the certificate, then select 'save image as' or 'email image.' Once saved, the certificate can be printed, signed, and dated. Employees should save a copy and send a copy of the certificate to their manager.
If taking the training on a mobile device (not recommended), you may take a screenshot of the certificate to print later.
The final quiz results can be saved or printed. Click 'detailed report' on the quiz page to see your answers or to print your quiz.
