Brotherhood Mutual Celebrates Decade of Winning “Best Places to Work” Award

FORT WAYNE, IND., May 5, 2017: Brotherhood Mutual, a leading national insurer of Christian ministries, has been named among Indiana's best places to work for the 10th consecutive year. The company ranked 13th in the large-company category in the Best Places to Work competition, sponsored by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented on May 2 at an awards dinner in Indianapolis.

Brotherhood Mutual also was among the winning companies included in the state’s Best Places to Work Hall of Fame for displaying sustained excellence during the program's 12-year history. Hall of Fame companies are those that have been named a winner at least two-thirds of the time in the program’s history. Brotherhood Mutual is among 15 organizations on the 2017 list that meet the criteria.

“Every day, our employees come to work with a deep dedication to serving the church,” says Mark Robison, president and CEO of Brotherhood Mutual. “That dedication shines through in every interaction with our customers and with each other. In this, our 100th anniversary year, I’m grateful that the principles and values of our founders continue to guide us on a daily basis. Their concept of unselfish service to others is as relevant today as it was back then, and is deeply embedded in the Brotherhood Mutual culture.”

Winners were selected from each of four size categories. The large-company category, in which Brotherhood Mutual competed, includes companies that have 250-999 employees. All companies that participate in the program receive an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses, according to their employees.

“Every company on this list understands the positive business impact of making employees feel valued,” says Indiana Chamber President Kevin Brinegar. “We are pleased to recognize them for such model work environments.”

The Indiana Chamber of Commerce created the Best Places to Work program to honor the top companies in the state, as determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. The Best Companies Group, which handles the selection process, oversees similar programs in 29 other states. Find out who else made the Best Places to Work in Indiana list this year.
