Headquartered in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Brotherhood Mutual is a national property and casualty insurance company with a heart for helping Christian ministries thrive. As a leader in the industry, Brotherhood Mutual provides insurance, services, and risk management resources to help ministries operate safely and effectively. The company’s 580 employees serve more than 65,000 churches, schools, colleges and universities, camps, and mission organizations. This is the 13th time Brotherhood Mutual has earned the Best Places to Work designation. By displaying sustained excellence, Brotherhood Mutual also appears in the state’s Best Places to Work Hall of Fame. Hall of Fame businesses have been named winners at least 60% of the time in the program’s 17-year history.

“Best Places to Work in Indiana not only recognizes our state’s outstanding employers, but it also sets a high standard for other Hoosier companies by encouraging them to realize the importance of evaluating their own workplace,” said Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar.

To determine the Best Places to Work in Indiana, companies from across the state participate in a two-part survey process. First, the Employer Assessment captures details about a company’s policies and procedures. Second, the confidential Employee Feedback Survey captures employees’ opinions about their workplace experience. Both the employer and employee data sets are combined to determine the best workplaces.
